the last sweet moments before the fixator...

on our way to the hospital in SF, jake and i took the coast and couldn't have made a more amazing decision.

castroville

davenport

pigeon point

pomponio state beach (some of the best pictures i've taken all year!)

the rains poured down around us while our route remained mostly dry, despite a freak snow/ice storm that derailed 5 or so cars just north of davenport. the skies parted a number of times, revealing the most stunning displays of light as golden shafts pierced through the moody banner of storm clouds hugging the coast. it was a perfect way to cleanse the soul before checking into the hospital.

The serenity of your photos gives not a hint to the fact that we slid into the vista point out of a hairpin fish tale like the Dukes of Hazzard meets Ansel Adams on crack. Excellent work.
